In addition to being siblings, Alex and Pauline became close friends when they both attended the Dublin School in New Hampshire. Alex has been Pauline's confidant, best friend, and trusted ally ever since. Pauline and Alex share a healthy obsession with cats, finding humor in everything, running, and eating ridiculous amounts of food when home for the holidays. Alex is also known among Pauline's friends as "Shaffer the Shepherd" for his loyal and protective ways. Alex lives, works (and runs) in Dover, New Hampshire with his girlfriend Katrina and their two feline friends, Loki and Rumpy.

Pauline and Lindsay were freshman roommates at Wheaton College and became instant friends. Pauline is constantly in awe of the tenacious, determined, and fun-spirited Lindsay. They bonded over a shared love of cats, old fries, and Sex and the City marathons. Having known Lindsay and her husband Brian since their college days at Wheaton, Pauline thinks these two might know her better than most -- and, in fact, are responsible for introducing Pauline and Jody. (Thanks Brindsay! ) Lindsay currently lives in Connecticut with her husband Brian (who is also in the wedding party), their son Oliver, and their dog Dune.

Pauline first met Victoria in their freshman writing class together at Wheaton College. They quickly became friends and bonded during many-a-trip to Dunkin' Donuts, Emerson Dining Hall -- and sometimes even the library.  Victoria is undoubtedly the funniest person you will ever meet, with a knack for making even the most boring situation entertaining. Victoria currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her boyfriend Adam, where she continues to make Pauline smile daily with her hilarious Snapchat messages and texts.

Pauline met Tori at Wheaton College in Chase dining hall. Their friendship really took off post-college when Tori returned from living in Argentina to move in with Pauline in an admittedly run-down apartment in Boston. Tori and Pauline can -- and have -- spent countless hours engaged in seemingly endless conversation. They are passionate about books, travel, and story telling. If you need help spotting Tori, just look to the middle of the dance floor or the center of any conversation. Tori currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts.

It must have been quite a shock for Katrina when Alex brought her to meet the Shaffer family on a trip to Squirrel Island a few summers back. As usual, we were loud, argumentative, and quick to pepper her with questions.  But she survived the trip -- and somehow even seemed to enjoy hanging out with us. Pauline quickly began to appreciate Katrina's total honesty, down-to-earth ways, creative mind, and awesome sense of humor. Pauline can catch Katrina's eye at any moment and they seem to be sharing the same thought.  Katrina resides in Dover, New Hampshire with Alex Shaffer and their two cats, Loki and Rumpy.

Jess and her husband Ben moved from their hometown in Florida seeking adventure in Boston. When Jess was hired at the same company where Pauline was working, an immediate friendship was born -- Pauline had finally gained a friend at work that didn’t seem to mind her endless chatter and online chat message! Between daily meetings in the company break room to discuss important gossip (or the latest episode of Mad Men), to parties and dinners outside of the office, Jess and Ben became an integral part of Pauline and Jody’s life.  After several years of adventure in Boston, Jess recently returned to Florida with her husband Ben to pursue a promising career opportunity.

Jody met Jay in grammar school when Jay's family moved in across the street. Jody and Jay attended the same high school and college together, participated in several high school extracurricular activities together (football, track, drama club), were members of the same fraternity in college, and have continued to remain close friends. Though Jody and Jay have long since moved out of their home town of Buffalo, NY; the Morosey and Podpora families still live across the street from each other to this day. Jay currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with his fiancée, Shawn.

Jody met Steve in band class in middle school, where they were fellow trumpet players. As well as getting into various sorts of mischief together, they bonded over music, including the band 311, who they've seen perform live together several times in different cities. Steve and Jody played high school football together, and both participated in drama club as well as video production activities in "media communications" class.  (Click here for a sample of their work, ca. 2001). Steve currently resides in Buffalo, NY with his girlfriend Veronica, and their two cats.

Jody met John early on during their freshman year at RIT in 2001 when they joined the same fraternity. They kept in contact after college, spending time together in Boston, as well as taking several summer vacations to Block Island, Rhode Island with groups of close mutual friends. In the summer of 2012, Jody served as the officiant of John's marriage to his wife, Christina, who also went to RIT. John and Christina currently reside together with their dog, Stella, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jody met Kellen in 2008 while on a work assignment in Germany. As the only two Americans at the work site, they came to know each other well very quickly -- and traveled extensively together across Europe. After the conclusion of their assignment, Kellen and Jody both moved to Boston, where Jody shared an apartment with Kellen's then-future wife, Chelsea. Kellen, Chelsea, Jody, and Pauline traveled to Germany and Turkey in 2012, and have a tradition of taking annual trips to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT (proudly ongoing for the last five consecutive years). Both natives of Kansas, Kellen and Chelsea currently reside in Santa Monica, California with their dog, Conan.

Brian and Jody met while working together in Boston in 2008, bonding over their mutual passion for German sports cars and the UK-based television series Top Gear. Over the years, Brian and Jody have spent a lot of time together talking about cars, racing their cars, and snowboarding. It was Brian and his (then-future) wife, Lindsay, that were responsible for introducing Jody to Pauline. Brian currently lives in Connecticut with his wife Lindsay (who is also in the wedding party), their son Oliver, and their dog Dune.
